Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail
I was raised on this quote -thanks, Dad.
But here’s the thing: I often hear the joke, “Hey, in agile, we don’t plan.”
Yes, we absolutely do and we absolutely should.
🟢It’s called “Sprint Planning.”
🟢It’s called “Replenishment.”
🟢It’s called “Quarterly Planning”
🟢It’s called “Reviewing and revising your Roadmap and Strategy and Tactics
And it’s checking in and re-planning every day.
We plan just enough so we can inspect, adapt, and respond to changes.
Big Tip:
Always leave room in your planning for that unexpected fire you might need to put out, the occasional drama, or downtime for decompressing.
Set boundaries.
Learn to say no.
Create space for yourself so you can show up as a better leader, teammate, partner, friend, parent, pet parent and most importantly, for YOU.
But if you REALLY need help with planning then we are ready to support you.
